Blumen Named College Basketball Video Coordinator of the Year

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Todd Blumen '91 has been named the 2011 College Basketball Video Coordinator of the Year by The Collegiate Sports Video Association.
Blumen, the athletic department's video coordinator since 2002, added the title of producer in 2008. He is in his 25th season associated with the men's basketball program.
Blumen is the primary administrator for the men's and women's basketball XOS networks. He also coordinates audio-visual distribution for the Carmelo Anthony Basketball Facility.
He embarked on the profession as a graduate assistant video coordinator for basketball for three seasons. He spent five years as a video production assistant.
Blumen earned a B.A. in mathematics from Syracuse in 1991. From 1986 to 1992, he was a basketball student manager. From 1995 to 1997, he was a graduate assistant for the team while earning an MBA from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. He returned to SU after working as an accounting supervisor in the travel industry and as an accounting manager with a sporting goods retailer.
The College Sports Video Association is made up primarily of collegiate and high school athletic video coordinators. Its mission is to “serve its members and provide a place for dialogue and development within the profession.”
Syracuse's Director of Football Video Operations, Erik Kunttu, is the current president of the College Sports Video Association Executive Board.
