What's The Scoop? Jardine Camping at CP3

Syracuse senior Scoop Jardine just finished a weekend at Chris Paul's point-guard camp. Jardine kept the following journal of his excursion:
7 airports. 4 great workouts. 3 days: 1 journey; 1 goal, 1 invaluable experience=CP3 camp.
It all started when the alarm went off Friday morning, 4:45 am. Who knew that would be the start of a very, very, very long day…of airport visits? We (myself and my teammate Nick Resavy) arrived at the Syracuse airport at 5:15 am, but were too late to check our bags, causing us to miss our flight. It all spiraled out of control after that. Instead of getting to Greensboro for camp just after 9 a.m., we had to fly to Boston, then Philadelphia first. Our flight to Boston from Syracuse was an hour delayed, but we were able to sneak on the 6 a.m. flight (yes, 6 a.m. flight - - it was delayed by about 5 hours) from Boston to Philly. After getting to Philly, we finally caught our flight to Greensboro and arrived there at 5 p.m. Twelve hours of travel, and it would only get crazier from there.
On a side note, we weren't the only ones at least -- Brandon Triche's flight at 6 a.m. was delayed, forcing him to switch up his plans.
We took the van to the hotel with Eric Bledsoe, and got there just in time to check in real quick and hop on the bus to head over to the first workout. The first workout was solid and consisted of drills/skill work and full-court play. It ended with 5-on-5 with us college guys vs. the NBA guys, most notably CP3, Bledsoe, and Jarrett Jack. The second day consisted of two great workouts: one, skill work, and the other, competitive play (3-on-3, 5-on-5). Skill work included ball handling, pick-and-roll situations, and different NBA moves. The workouts were competitive and beneficial, and after that we went to the bowling alley for dinner and bowling with CP3. Our lane was Marcus Denmon (Turkey Time), Tony Chennault, Eric Bledsoe, CP3 and me. CP3 killed with a score of 226, but it was a great time nonetheless. (Nick and Triche watched)

On another side note, I appreciate the shout out on twitter from CP3..it's @PhillyFlash11…follow me. Nick would like to add that he was featured in the twitpic from the event CP3 posted. Nonetheless, only one thing important here…follow me, and in case you missed it and don't want to look back up two lines for the name, its @PhillyFlash11.
Sunday morning featured a very valuable learning experience: film session with CP3. I learned a real lot from him, and his work ethic and basketball IQ really stood out. The morning workout, the fourth workout, was similar to the drill/skill work in the previous morning workout. It was a solid way to finish up the camp for me.
I look forward to improving all aspects of my game and leading the Cuse next season. I'm ready to be the full-time leader, and I'm working hard every day to be that leader.
CP3 camp was great; a great first stop in this crucial process for me.
ED NOTE: There were 17 college players invited to the CP3 Elite Guard Camp in Winston Salem, N.C. Among the participants were: Brandon Triche (Syracuse), Cameron Ayers (Bucknell), Harrison Barnes (North Carolina), Will Barton (Memphis), Kenny Boynton (Florida), Lorenzo Brown (N.C. State), Bradford Burgess (Virginia Commonwealth), Tony Chennault (Wake Forest), Seth Curry (Duke), Andre Dawkins (Duke), Trey Demps (Northwestern), Marcus Denmon (Missouri), C.J. Harris (Wake Forest), Kendall Marshall (North Carolina), Peyton Siva (Louisville), and Jordan Taylor (Wisconsin).
