Senior Scoop Jardine just returned from the LeBron James Skills Academy in Akron, Ohio. The invitation-only event featured some of the top Division I players in the country as well as LeBron.
It's the third high-profile camp of the summer for Jardine. He's already logged time at Chris Paul's camp and Derrick Williams camp. According to Jardine, the James Academy featured the most competitive playing, as opposed to the skills focus of the other two camps.
Jardine isn't just busy with basketball. He's also attending school and working on a possible second major from Syracuse University. Jardine completed his undergraduate degree in the spring.
Here's "the Scoop" on Jardine:
What's up from Akron, Ohio!
I just completed the Lebron James Skills Academy camp with some of the best players in the country. What a camp! Lebron camp was such a great experience for me because I went up against some of the best college and pro players in the country.
Hanging out with Lebron James was cool because I got to learn a lot from him, and he's a real funny guy, but the basketball experience was great. We played a lot of five-on-five, just like at DWill camp, but we went up against Lebron, his high school teammates, and Chris Paul and Eric Bledsoe. It was great to go up against CP and EBled again because they are great players and push me to get better. The final day was the best day for me, I was really balling out there!! I was playing well and being vocal…both of what I look to bring to the table next year.

Now it's back to Syracuse for me for a little in preparation for USA Basketball training camp on July 29th. I'm really looking forward to getting back in the 'Cuse and working out with my teammates in the Melo Center. The incoming freshmen are up there now, and I look forward to getting to know them and hang with them and get them ready for Syracuse Basketball. Leadership is a full-time commitment, and I'm ready to show them the way and get them ready. It's a great time to be a part of Syracuse Basketball, and a great time to be a Syracuse fan!
