C.J. Fair's sophomore season at Syracuse will officially begin against Fordham on November 12.

SYRACUSE, NY – Syracuse will open the 2011-12 regular season with a home-court encounter against Fordham on Saturday, November 12, in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse holds a 26-16 advantage in the all--time series with the Rams.

The two programs have squared off two other times in the Carrier Dome and the Orange was victorious in both endeavors. In 1982, Syracuse came away with a 66-44 triumph, and on November 16, 2007 the Orange claimed another win against the Rams, 80-63.

Fordham had a 7-21 overall record a season ago. Coach Tom Pecora is entering into his second season with the Rams. Previously he led Hofstra University to four 20-win seasons.
