Day One Complete At Boeheim Fantasy Camp

Sunday night was the Welcome Reception for the camp. Laughing it up and talking bball with new friends (and a few current ones) was great fun! Chatting with SU stars like Roosevelt Bouie, Todd Burgan, Derrick Coleman, Donté Green, Herman Harried, Lawrence Moten, Arinze Onuaku, Billy Owens, and Lazarus Sims was fantastic!
I went to bed with great anticipation. When I awoke at 2 am drenched with perspiration, I knew that I was also filled with just a little apprehension. I was able to fall back asleep, but gave up trying at 5:00 and got out of bed.
Many people asked me if I was ready. The phrase "As ready as I'll ever be" really rang true, and that was my stock answer. I may not be truly prepared, but I don't think I will ever be more prepared.
We played in a scrimmage game and the coaches got together and drafted teams. I am on the team coached by Adrian Autry, Roosevelt Bouie, and Lawrence Moten. After a short workout, we played two games, separated by Coach Boeheim talking about the Zone Defense. Our team lost the first game but won the second one. I am very very tired but I am having a blast!
Tonight we are having dinner at Turning Stone where Coach Boeheim will break down the six-overtime game against UCONN.
I am very glad that there are no more games today, and I know I will sleep well tonight.
