Syracuse will be a part of ESPN's Basketball College GameDay series when the Orange play at Connecticut on Saturday, February 25. It marks Syracuse's fourth appearance on College GameDay and the first time as the visiting team.
The BIG EAST Conference is the only league to have two guaranteed hosting appearances in this year's schedule. The first-ever College GameDay was in January 2005 when Connecticut hosted Pittsburgh. Overall, the BIG EAST has hosted 14 basketball GameDays, more than any other conference.
Rece Davis will anchor the ESPN College GameDay desk for the eighth season. He will work with analysts Jay Bilas, Hubert Davis, Bob Knight and Digger Phelps.
Syracuse previously appeared on GameDay in the Carrier Dome on February 5, 2005 against Notre Dame, February 18, 2006 versus Louisville and on February 27, 2010 against Villanova. The Villanova game attracted the largest college basketball crowd at an on-campus venue -- 34,616.
