
Women's Track Claims USTFCCCA Honor

The Syracuse women's track and field team joined their male counterparts on Thursday when the squad was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic team. The academic distinction is the second straight honor for the Orange, and third time in the last four years.
NEW ORLEANS –
To earn USTFCCCA academic honors, a team must compile a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or better. SU achieved a team GPA of 3.40, the second highest amongst 12 BIG EAST squads named to the 164 team list. The conference boasted the greatest amount of teams included on the USTFCCCA list.
The Orange women had 10 student-athletes earn individual USTFCCCA All-Academic honors last week, and were among 65 honorees representing the BIG EAST.
