Hickey to Miss 2011 with Knee Injury

Syracuse sophomore offensive tackle Sean Hickey will miss the 2011 season as a result of a left knee injury. Hickey reported left knee pain and swelling after practice on August 13 and an MRI performed later that day revealed an ACL tear and lateral meniscus tear. Reconstructive surgery will be performed in the near future. In 2010, Hickey did not play in any games.
SU kicks off the 2011 season on Thursday, September 1 against Wake Forest in the Carrier Dome (8:00 p.m., ESPN3). Individual and season tickets are available online and at the Dome Box Office (1-888-DOME-TIX).
