Mossovitz Named Assistant A.D.

Morey Mossovitz, a 2008 graduate of Syracuse University who earned a master's degree from the University in 2010, has been named assistant athletics director for facilities and event operations, according to Director of Athletics Dr. Daryl Gross.
Mossovitz will work with Pete Sala, senior associate athletics director for operations/Carrier Dome, and provide administrative support, oversight, and facility operations management for athletic facilities and Olympic sport home contests.
He will handle home-game management for the Lampe Athletics Complex venues (field hockey and soccer), the Skytop Softball Stadium complex, and select Carrier Dome events. Mossovitz will also coordinate schedules for Manley Arena, the outdoor track, the football and lacrosse practice fields, Hookway Fields, and the Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Practice Center.
Mossovitz will serve as the athletic department liaison with Parking Services, the Department of Public Safety, EMS, CenterState CEO, the Office of Government and Community Relations, and the Office of Recreation Services.
A manager with the men's lacrosse team as an undergraduate at Syracuse, Mossovitz earned his bachelor's degree in educational studies. While working on his master's degree, he was a graduate assistant with the men's lacrosse program and the team won the 2008 and 2009 NCAA Championship during his tenure. He also served as the assistant director of the Syracuse Men's Lacrosse Summer Program and was a production supervisor at the Carrier Dome. He received his master's degree in student affairs counseling.
In the fall of 2010, Mossovitz was hired as an academic and facilities coordinator at Syracuse. He oversaw the academic coordination for men's and women's lacrosse and women's tennis. He also directed career services for the department and worked as the liaison with the career center on campus.
He assisted with the daily and game-day operations for Manley Field House, the Lampe Athletics Complex and the Carrier Dome. Mossovitz supervised temporary staff and assisted with facility changeovers.
