NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Freshman tennis player Amanda Rodgers is two wins away from qualifying for the US Open Mixed Doubles Main Draw.
Rodgers and her partner, Ellis Ferreira , won their first two matches at the mixed doubles playoffs hosted by Yale University, and will play today in the semifinals.
If Rodgers and Ellis can win the playoff, Rodgers will be on campus Monday for the first day of classes, and then is off to New York City for the opening round of the US Open.
