For the third straight week, Syracuse senior quarterback Ryan Nassib is among the top BIG EAST performers. The West Chester, Pa. native was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after a 25-of-37 showing for 230 yards and one touchdown at USC last weekend.
Nassib began the game against the Trojans by completing his first 11 passes, extending his consecutive passing completions streak to 22, dating back to the game against Rhode Island on September 10. The mark was four shy of tying the FBS record, held by former Cal quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The Syracuse signal-caller moved into third place on the SU career completion percentage list with a .591 mark (312-of-528). He also ranks fifth on Syracuse's career touchdown passes list with 29, three shy of tying Troy Nunes for fourth all-time.
The Orange return to the Carrier Dome to battle Toledo this Saturday, September 24 (12:00 p.m., BIG EAST Network). Individual and season tickets are available for the game online, at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B) and by phone (888-DOMETIX). Season tickets start at $99, while the Time Warner Triple Play Pack, which offers one ticket to any three home games, starts at $72.
