The game-winning rally staged by the 2011 Orange football team in its season opener against Wake Forest was one for the record books. The last time a Syracuse team overcame a fourth-quarter two-touchdown deficit to win a game was in 1993 against Cincinnati in the Carrier Dome. The Orange trailed 21-6 with 12 minutes remaining. The Orange scored two touchdowns, including a two-point conversion, and a field goal to win.
The 2011 Orange (1-0 overall) will host Rhode Island on Saturday, September 10 at 4:30 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Individual game and season tickets are available online and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (1-888-DOMETIX).
