Chew Remains On Biletnikoff Watch List

After 240 receiving yards in his first three games, Syracuse wide receiver Van Chew (Manassas, Va.) remains a candidate for the 2011 Biletnikoff Award, which recognizes the nation's most outstanding college football receiver.
The Biletnikoff Award is sponsored by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, which created a scholarship foundation with the Award to provide financial assistance through scholarships to graduating high school achievers. Candidates for the Biletnikoff Award must display leadership and self-discipline and have a significant, positive impact on his team's success. In addition, a candidate must possess a commitment to be the best player he can be.
Chew has 15 catches for 240 yards and three touchdowns for the Orange this season. With 973 career receiving yards, he is on the cusp of becoming the 15th receiver in SU history to gain 1,000 yards. Chew enters this weekend's game against Toledo with a streak of 16 consecutive games with at least one reception.
