The Syracuse football team travels to Cincinnati this weekend in search of its third straight win. The Orange (4-4, 3-1 BIG EAST) most recently notched an exciting come-from-behind 37-36 win against USF in its last outing. The Bearcats opened up the season, winning five consecutive games, before losing its last two games at Toledo and at Louisville. Take a look at head coach Doug Marrone's press conference this morning and hear what he has to say about the upcoming game at Cincinnati by clicking here.
Â
"For us on offense, we are going to have a challenge upfront," said Marrone. "We are going to have a challenge completing balls. Everything is going to be contested. We are going on the road and we just have to fight on every play to put ourselves in the position to win every game."
Â
After winning two of its first six game, the Orange focused in on winning the turnover margin. Syracuse accomplished that feat in its last two wins against Connecticut, 40-10, and at South Florida, 37-36.
Â
"The main reason that we have been successful is that we have been winning the turnover margin," Marrone said. " It has given us the ability to win football games. When you don't win that, what you do is that you take away the ability to win and you've lost the game based on the turnovers. I have talked to the team again, making sure that we don't lose sight of all the other things that are going on with winning the turnover margin and making sure we tackle."
Â
The defense has seen impressive performances by its defensive tackles, Deon Goggins and Jay Bromley. Goggins has 34 tackles so far this season which include 15 solo, five for a loss of eight yards and one sack for a loss of one yard. Bromley has recorded 24 tackles, including seven solo and two tackles for a loss of six yards.
Â
"A TV crew came in here and said we know the stats, is there anyone playing well on the defensive side that we should know about or the offense or special teams," Marrone said. "I said, absolutely. Â Deon Goggins and Jay Bromley are playing extremely well for us. You wouldn't see that in the stats but they are playing at a very high level for us."

SU returns to the Carrier Dome for a Homecoming contest against Louisville on November 10.Tickets are available online, in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B), or by calling 1-888-DOMETIX.
