Syracuse's season-opening win against San Diego State in the "Battle On The Midway" helped the Orange advance a spot in both national polls announced today. SU is now eighth in the Associated Press and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches polls.
The top 12 spots in the two polls are identical. Indiana retained its preseason hold on the number one position.
Syracuse defeated San Diego State on Sunday, 62-49. The Orange now prepare for it's Dome opener versus Wagner on Sunday, November 18, at 1:00 p.m.
