
Nassib and Kullman Named Orange Scholar-Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Junior Joe Nassib (Newton Square, Pa.) of the football team and junior Amanda Kullman (West Seneca, N.Y.) of the Orange volleyball team are the Syracuse University Scholar-Athletes of the Week for the week of November 5, 2012.
Nassib has seen action in eight games during the 2012 season, playing primarily on special teams. Last season, he earned his first letter, after playing in all 12 contests for the Orange. Nassib was named to the spring 2012 Athletic Director's Honor Roll at SU.
He is majoring in information management and technology in the School of Information Studies.
Kullman has played in 15 matches for the Orange volleyball team this season, recording four starts. The junior setter is averaging 3.91 assists per set. Kullman is majoring in civil engineering in the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science.
She has been a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in every semester at SU. She was also named to the 2010-11 and 2011-12 BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
Nassib and the rest of the football team (4-5, 3-2) will host Louisville on Senior Day in the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Nov. 10th (12 p.m.; ABC). Tickets for Syracuse's Homecoming game against the Cardinals are available online, in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B), or by calling 1-888-DOMETIX.
Kullman and the rest of the Orange volleyball team (10-18, 2-11) will host Villanova and Seton Hall this weekend. SU will take on the Wildcats at 7 p.m. in the Women's Building before squaring off against the Pirates on Senior Day at 1 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
