LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 2/2 Syracuse (25-1, 12-1) plays the first of two consecutive road games on Monday, Feb. 13 when it takes on No. 19/18 Louisville (20-5, 8-4) in the KFC Yum! Center at 7 p.m. The Orange and Cardinals both used scoring runs in the final minutes of action to record victories on Saturday.

The game will be available on ESPN as part of its “Big Monday” lineup and on ESPN3. Fans can also follow the action on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network and its flagship TK99 (99.5 FM). DOUBLE TROUBLE
Sophomore #C.J. Fair# recorded his second career double-double in Syracuse's win against Connecticut. He was 6-for-8 from the floor and 2-for-3 from the free throw line for 14 points. He also grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds, which led the team. Fair is Syracuse's second-leading rebounder this season (5.4 rpg.). He has played in every game, making three starts, and ranks second in minutes played (26.1 per game).

LIGHTS OUT FROM DOWNTOWN
Syracuse had its best shooting performance from three-point range in its victory against the Huskies. The Orange hit 10-of-16 from behind the arc, including 5-of-7 in the second half. Senior Scoop Jardine hit all four of his attempts from deep, while Kris Joseph as 3-for-4. This season, Syracuse is shooting 35.2 percent (173-for-419) from three-point range, which ranks fourth in the BIG EAST.

A CLOSER LOOK AT THE ORANGE
Syracuse used a 22-6 run during the final 6:30 of play on its way to an 85-67 victory against --/rv Connecticut on Saturday, Feb. 11 in the Carrier Dome. Scoop Jardine scored 11 points during the run and finished with a season-high 21.

The Orange led 43-34 at halftime and increased its lead to 11 in the first minute of the second half. The Huskies cut the deficit to two, but the Orange built its lead back nine at 61-52. Connecticut outscored SU, 9-2, and again cut the lead to two with 6:26 to play.

Jardine sparked the Orange offense by hitting back-to-back three-pointers to extend Syracuse's lead to 69-61. After a UConn basket, Dion Waiters continued SU's scoring run with three consecutive points before Jardine hit a layup to increase the lead to 74-62 with 3:01 left to play. Waiters followed with four more points and Jardine connected on his fourth three-pointer of the game to give the Orange a 19-point advantage. Syracuse went 4-for-6 from the free throw line in the final minute to seal the victory.

Jardine was 8-for-9 from the floor, including 4-for-4 from three-point range. Waiters scored 18 points off the bench, while Kris Joseph finished with 15 points. Sophomore #C.J. Fair# had 14 points and led the Orange on the boards with a career-high 12 rebounds.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Louisville improved its record to 20-5 overall and 8-4 in BIG EAST play with a come-from-behind victory against West Virginia on Saturday. The Cardinals outscored the Mountaineers, 11-0, in the final five minutes of the game.

UofL features a balanced scoring attack. Kyle Kuric leads the way with 13.2 points per game, followed closely by Wayne Blackshear's 13.0 points per contest. Russ Smith (12.3 ppg.), Chris Smith (10.5 ppg.) and Gorgue Dieng (1.1) also average double figures in scoring. Dieng leads the Cardinals and ranks fourth in the BIG EAST in rebounding (9.2 rpg.). He leads the league in blocked shots (3.2 bpg.).

Rick Pitino is in his 11th season at the helm of the Louisville program. He has guided the Cardinals to a record of 265-10. Under his guidance, Louisville has made eight appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinals advanced to the Final Four in 2004-05 and the Elite Eight in 2007-08 and 2008-09.

THE SERIES
Louisville leads the all-time series against Syracuse, 13-4. The Cardinals have won the last seven meetings between the two teams, dating back to the 2006-07 season. The Orange's last victory against the Cardinals was a 79-66 win in the Carrier Dome.
