Syracuse leading BIG EAST in statistical categories

The Syracuse men's basketball team, with the BIG EAST's best record (22-1, 9-1), is also the best in nearly every one of the conference's statistical categories. SU ranks in the top five in 13 BIG EAST team statistics.

The Orange leads the BIG EAST in scoring offense (77.4), scoring margin (+17.0), field goal percentage (.478), assist to turnover ratio (1.54), blocked shots (7.39), steals (10.35) and turnover margin (+7.17). They are second in team assists (16.57), third in field goal defense (.384), fourth in scoring defense (60.3) and fifth in 3-point field goals made (6.43), offensive rebounds (12.96) and offensive rebounding percentage (.374).

Syracuse is the only team in the BIG EAST that is still undefeated at home, with a perfect 15-0 record at the Carrier Dome. Also, SU has the best road record, 5-1 overall and 4-1 in conference games.

This Saturday, Syracuse is on the road against St. John's at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The game is at noon on ESPN.
