Orange Up To No. 5 In Media Poll, Remains Sixth In Coaches' Rankings

Nike/Inside Lacrosse Top 20 Poll | USILA Poll
BALTIMORE – The Syracuse men's lacrosse team climbed one spot in this week's Nike/Inside Lacrosse Top 20 Media Poll, released Monday, March 12. The Orange moved from No. 6 to No. 5 in the rankings after its 9-8 win at St. John's Saturday.
Syracuse (3-1) received 287 points and trails Virginia, Johns Hopkins Cornell and Massachusetts in the poll.
In the latest USILA Coaches' Poll, also released Monday, the Orange remained sixth. Virginia and Johns Hopkins are the top two teams in the coaches' rankings. Massachusetts is third followed by Cornell, Loyola and Syracuse.
Syracuse and Johns Hopkins square off Saturday, March 17 at Homewood Field in the 50th all-time meeting between the two rivals. Faceoff is slated for 4 p.m. on ESPNU.
