Joseph, Waiters Earn NABC All-District Honors

SYRACUSE, NY -- Senior forward Kris Joseph and sophomore guard Dion Waiters were each recognized on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 5 team. Joseph was a first-team pick and Waiters earned a spot on the second team.
Joseph, a first-team All-BIG EAST Conference selection this season, is Syracuse's leading scorer this season. He's averaged 13.8 points and 4.9 rebounds per game and has started all 33 games.
Waiters has seen action in all 33 contests but has not started a contest. He is second on the team in scoring average (12.6) and leads the team in steals average (1.9).
Syracuse begins play in the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, March 15, at 3:10 p.m. The Orange, a number one seed in the East, is paired with 16th-seeded UNC-Asheville.
