BOSTON – The Sweet 16 matchup between the top-seeded Syracuse Orange and the fourth-seeded Wisconsin Badgers is set to tipoff at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday night at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston.
The game will be aired on CBS, and is the first of a double-header with Ohio State and Cincinnati to follow.
The Orange (33-2) punched its ticket to the Sweet 16 with a 75-59 victory against Kansas State last Saturday in Pittsburgh. SU had four players in double-figures, led by Dion Waiters with 18 and Scoop Jardine with 16. The Syracuse bench outscored KSU's bench 33-0.
Wisconsin (26-9) advanced to Boston by defeating fifth-seeded Vanderbilt 60-57 in Albuquerque, N.M. The Badgers had five player reach double-figures and was paced by First-Team All-Big Ten performer Jordan Taylor with 14 points.
