Powells Set for Broadcast Debut

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Syracuse All-Americans Casey and Mike Powell will make their National Lacrosse League (NLL) broadcast debuts together this weekend. The brothers will serve as color analysts for CBS Sports Network's coverage of the Buffalo Bandits versus Philadelphia Wings from First Niagara Center on Saturday, April 7.
The Powells will team up in the booth again for the NLL championship game the weekend of May 19. In between, they will rotate as analysts for six other NLL games on CBS Sports Network in April and May.

A seven-time NLL All-Star, Casey Powell is not playing in the NLL this year because of injury. Mike Powell has never competed in the NLL, electing instead to pursue other opportunities.
Casey Powell (1995-98) earned All-America honors four times with the Orange, including three first-team nods. He twice was the winner of the Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award as the USILA Player of the Year (1997, 1998) and finished his career with a school-record 287 points.
Casey's scoring record was later tied by brother Ryan Powell (1997-2000) and eventually eclipsed by Mike, who totaled 307 points in four seasons from 2001-04.
The only two-time Tewaaraton Award winner as college lacrosse's player of the year, Mike Powell was a four-time, first-team All-American at Syracuse and won a pair of NCAA championships (2002 and 2004).
