Joseph Makes Three Oranges In NBA Draft

Kris Joseph became the third Syracuse player selected in the 2012 NBA Draft when the Boston Celtics tabbed him in the second round. Joseph joins teammates Dion Waiters, the fourth overall pick in the draft to Cleveland, and Fab Melo, who was picked by the Celtics, as well.
He was the 21st pick of the second round and the 51st overall pick.
Joseph completed his SU career this past winter. An NABC (Nationall Association of Basketball Coaches) and USBWA (United States Basketball Writers) Second-Team All-American, Joseph led the Orange in scoring, averaging 13.5 points per game. He was First-Team All-BIG EAST Conference.
He became the 55th Syracuse player to score 1,000 career points. He played in 140 games during his collegiate tenure. Only Stephen Thompson (144), Derrick Coleman (143) and Rick Jackson (143) played more.
