Orange to Kick Off 2012 Season on ESPN2

The 2012 Syracuse football season will begin with a nationally televised game from the Carrier Dome. The Orange will host Northwestern on September 1 before an ESPN2 audience. Kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. In addition, Syracuse's game against Stony Brook will kick off at 4:00 p.m. and will be televised on Time Warner Cable Sports, throughout upstate New York and carried on SNY, reaching 14 million homes. At this time, seven of SU's 2012 games are slated for television, including five national broadcasts.
Syracuse fans attending the season-opener against Northwesetern will get the first opportunity to enjoy the newly installed LED video and ribbon boards in the Dome.
Syracuse's other four nationally televised games include New York's College Classic, featuring Syracuse and Southern California at MetLife Stadium (Sept. 8, 3:30 p.m., ABC), home games against Pittsburgh (Oct. 5) and Connecticut (Oct. 19) selected for ESPN, and the regular-season finale at Temple on November 23, which will be televised on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. The Orange game at Minnesota on Sept. 22 will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
The rest of the BIG EAST schedule includes games at Rutgers (Oct. 13), at South Florida (Oct. 27) at Cincinnati (Nov. 3) and at home against Louisville (Nov. 10). The University will host Family Weekend when the Orange faces Pittsburgh on October 5 and Homecoming/Orange Central when the Orange entertains Louisville on November 10. The final non-conference game is at Missouri on November 17.
Season tickets can be ordered online and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (888-DOMETIX). All season-ticket holders have the opportunity to purchase ticket s to Syracuse's game against USC at MetLife Stadium at a specially-priced rate via their MyCuse accounts.
