Aug. 12: Entry 3 - Sykes featured in Post-Standard
Donna Ditota of the Post-Standard has a feature story on Brittney Sykes as she competes for Team USA at the U18 National Team training camp. The story chronicles Sykes tryout and selection to the team, as well as her friendship with fellow U18 National Team member and Syracuse native Breanna Stewart. SU head coach Quentin Hillsman is also quoted in the piece on the development of Sykes' game as she prepares for her first season in orange.
"I actually cried a lot that day," Sykes said upon learning she made the USA U18 team. "I cried when I made the team. And I cried more when I called my mom."

Being here with Team USA makes everyday in Colorado better! We have had two practices so far and it's been great! Yes, we are all sore, but the coaches push each individual to become stronger mentally and physically!!!
Tonight we scrimmage against the U17 team. I'll let you know how it goes. Go #USA!
