Nassib Recognized on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

After setting yet another SU record against No. 2 USC, senior quarterback Ryan Nassib has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. Nassib set the Orange career completions record with 572 and ranks second on the school's all-time list with 50 passing touchdowns.
Against USC, Nassib completed 30 passes for 322 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for another score. So far this season, Nassib has thrown 75 completions for 804 yards and six touchdowns. Against Northwestern, the West Chester, Pa. native set the Orange single-game records for completions (45), attempts (66), and yards (482).
Nassib was honored as the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for his record-breaking performance against the Wildcats. After the Northwestern game, he was also named a Manning Start of the Week. Nassib is also listed on the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and Senior Bowl watch lists.
Syracuse is back in action this weekend at the Carrier Dome when it hosts Stony Brook at 4 p.m. (TWCS/SNY). All children under the age of 12 are welcome to come to the game for free, sponsored by Time Warner Cable. The first 10,000 fans in the building will receive a limited edition New York's College Team bracelet.
