Orange nation – vote for Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib in the Davey O'Brien Fan Vote! The Davey O'Brien Quarterback Award is presented annually to the nation's best quarterback. Visit www.DaveyOBrien.org to place your vote in support of Nassib. The poll will remain open until Oct. 21st so vote often!
It is important to show your support for Nassib because the Fan Vote counts as five percent during each round of the voting process and is combined with the results from the Davey O'Brien Selection Committee. The committee is comprised of journalists, broadcasters, commentators and former winners of the award.
The award honors the nation's best quarterback who exemplifies Davey O'Brien's character while exhibiting teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership in both academics and athletics.
Following the first round of voting, a second round will be opened up on Oct. 22 after the 16 semifinalists are announced. On Nov. 19th the three finalists for the award will be revealed. The 2012 Davey O' Brien Winner will be announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards on Dec. 6 on ESPN.
Nassib and the Orange play No. 2 USC on Saturday, Sept. 8 at MetLife Stadium in New York's College Classic (3:30 p.m., ABC). Tickets and travel packages are available at www.nycollegeclassic.com.
