PROVIDENCE – Senior guard Brandon Triche earned his third conference honor of the season after being named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, following a standout performance in the Orange triumph against top-ranked Louisville on Saturday.
Triche led the offense with 23 points for Syracuse in the 70-68 victory, after shooting 7-of-7 from the field and 4-of-4 from behind the three-point line for 18 points in the first half. He's also the squad's leading scorer with 262 points on the year, averaging a team-high 14.6 points per game.
Triche and the rest of the Orange (17-1, 5-0) team will host Cincinnati in the Carrier Dome this afternoon (Monday, 3:30 p.m.,ESPN) before hitting the road again traveling to Villanova to face the Wildcats (Saturday, 11 a.m., ESPNU).
