CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --Â Syracuse will face one of its toughest challenges of the season when it takes on defending national champion North Carolina on Thursday, Oct. 17. Opening kick in Chapel Hill is set for 2 p.m.
Syracuse is coming off a 3-0 victory against Miami on Sunday, which improved the Orange's overall mark to 6-8-1 and its league record to 2-6-1. The Tar Heels are ranked No. 4 in the nation and enter Thursday's game with an overall record of 12-2, which includes a 6-2 mark in ACC play.

Thursday's game marks the first meeting between Syracuse and North Carolina.
SIMON, SKILTON CHASE CLASS RECORDS
Erin Simon and  Stephanie Skilton are producing seasons that rank amongst the best by Orange sophomores and freshmen. Simon is tied for fifth for the most goals by a sophomore with five. Meanwhile, Skilton is tied for fifth for the most goals scored by an SU frosh. She has eight goals this season.
