Syracuse Future Schedules
The 2014 Syracuse football non-conference schedule features games against opponents from the Big Ten, Mid-American Conference, Yankee Conference and Notre Dame. The Orange will host Villanova and Maryland, play at Central Michigan and against Notre Dame at MetLife Stadium. Syracuse will also host Atlantic Coast Conference games against Duke, Florida State, Louisville, North Carolina State in the Carrier Dome. All Orange fans are invited to place a deposit for 2014 Syracuse football season tickets today. Every fan who reserves 2014 season tickets with a $75 deposit per ticket, will receive two (2) complimentary tickets to a November non-conference men's basketball home game. The Orange kicks off the 2014 season against Villanova in the Carrier Dome on August 30 and will also host Maryland (September 20). Maryland will leave the ACC to join the Big Ten next summer. Syracuse's non-conference schedule also includes a September 13 game at Central Michigan and a September 27 game against Notre Dame at MetLife Stadium. The road portion of the ACC slate includes games at Boston College, Clemson, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest.
Syracuse leads the series against Villanova, 2-1, having won games in 1954 and 1975 in Archbold Stadium. Villanova won the first game the schools played, 14-13, at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. Syracuse won the only game in the series against Central Michigan, beating the Chippewas 47-7 in 1999 in the Carrier Dome. The series against CMU includes one game in Mount Pleasant and two games in Syracuse in the future. The Orange owns an 18-14 lead in the series against Maryland.
When the Orange meets Notre Dame at MetLife Stadium, it will be the seventh meeting with the Fighting Irish and the second in the New York City area. In 1963 the Orange beat Notre Dame 14-7 in Yankee Stadium. Syracuse won the most recent game in the series with a come-from-behind 24-23 victory in South Bend in 2008.
The 2013 Orange will host Wake Forest on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 12:30 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Former Syracuse quarterback Donovan McNabb will be honored at the game with the retirement of his jersey and the 2013 LetterWinners of Distinction will be recognized.
Tickets for the Wake Forest game are available starting at $29. They can be ordered online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) or in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office. For $75 fans can take advantage of the Tops Family Four Pack, which includes two adult tickets, two youth tickets, a $5 concession voucher, free cushion seats with seatback for the game, and one Skytop parking pass.
