Princeton Chase Schedule
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse women's rowing team will be in action at the Princeton Chase in Princeton, N.J. on Sunday. Head coach Justin Moore's Orange will field a total of 12 boats in the regatta, which will feature some of the nation's top crews. The Orange will race two boats in the varsity open eight, three boats in the pairs, three in the women's doubles, and four single sculls.
Syracuse begins its racing at 11 a.m. with the varsity eights. In the afternoon, racing transitions to small boats with the single sculls, pairs and doubles all set to go off beginning at 2:30 p.m.
The start of the race is the normal finish line at the Kingston end of Lake Carnegie. The finish is just before the Washington Road bridge. Spectators may watch the racing from the start located just off Route 27 (Nassau Street) at the Kingston end of the lake, the Harrison Street bridge or the finish at the Washington Road bridge located near the boathouse.
Syracuse put in a strong showing in Boston last weekend at the Head of the Charles, the world's largest two-day regatta. The Orange recorded a fifth-place finish in the champ double and had boats finish ninth and 12th in the champ fours. Holly Johnston and Rebecca Soja teamed up for the fifth-place finish out of 21 boats in the champ double.
