Shafer Talks Clemson Tonight on Syracuse Sidelines
10/3/2013 12:00:00 PM | Football
With just two days until Syracuse football's ACC opener, head coach Scott Shafer has been diving deep into the film on Clemson. Fans can watch him break down video on Heisman candidate Tahj Boyd tonight on Syracuse Sidelines, hosted by Mark Larson on the Time Warner Cable Sports Channel at 6:30 p.m.
Â
The show will also feature a 'Player Profile' on starting quarterback Terrel Hunt, giving viewers a peek into the life of Hunt both on and off the field.
Â
"I'm excited for the opportunity to play a great Clemson team. Obviously we have a great challenge against a team that you could argue is in the running for the national championship," Shafer said. "They have a great quarterback in Tahj Boyd and a pair of wide receivers in tandem that are as good as any in the country, so we'll have our hands full and it will be a great challenge for us and this is why we do what we do. I'm looking forward to a great college football Saturday in the Dome."
Â
Fans are invited to join Coach Shafer at his radio show live at Red Robin every Thursday night at 7 p.m.
Â
Tickets for the Clemson game are available starting at $29. They can be ordered online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) or in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office. For $75 fans can take advantage of the Tops Family Four Pack, which includes two adult tickets, two youth tickets, a $5 concession voucher and one Skytop parking pass.
Â
A limited number of seats in the lower bowl have been released for the game on Saturday. The tickets will go on sale Thursday, October 3 at 9 a.m. and can be purchased online at suathletics.com, in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office, or by calling 1-888-DOME-TIX.
Syracuse will retire the jersey of legendary quarterback Don MacPherson at halftime of the Clemson game. The first 10,000 fans who enter the Dome will receive an ultra-stylized 8x10 glossy reproduction by Syracuse Steiner Collectables, commemorating the event.
Gates open a half an hour early this week and fans are encouraged to come to the Dome early to ensure that they are in their seats for kickoff. Gates open at 1:30 p.m. for the 3:30 p.m. start.
