Student-Athletes Participate in Children's Book Week

Syracuse student-athletes read and visited with students from the Dr. King Magnet School as part of the University Bookstore's Celebration of Children's Book Week. The event consisted of visits to and from schools, day care centers and hospitals in the University area to share the love of reading with students in the community.
Members of various Orange squads met with fifth-grade students from Dr. King Magnet School at the University Bookstore on Monday, Sept. 30 and Thursday, Oct. 3.
Syracuse student-athletes participate in community service events as part of the 'Cuse Cares Community Service Program sponsored by First Niagara Bank. Student-athletes have won the Chancellor's Award for Public Engagement and Scholarship (CAPES) 14 times.
