
Cornerback Keon Lyn will miss the rest of the 2013 season due to a lower-body injury that will require surgery.

Syracuse cornerback Keon Lyn (Miramar, Fla.) sustained a lower-body injury which will require surgery to be performed by team physicians Dr. Irving Raphael and Dr. Brad Raphael. As a result of the surgery and rehabilitation process, Lyn will not return for the 2013 season. A three-year starter, Lyn has 89 career tackles, including five for a loss of yards, three interceptions and two forced fumbles in his 37-game Syracuse career. Through four games this season, Lyn has 16 tackles, including 14 solo.
Syracuse is 2-3 in 2013 under first-year head coach Scott Shafer. The Orange plays at North Carolina State on Saturday, October 12 (3:30 pm, ACC RSN). SU returns to the Carrier Dome on November 2 to host Wake Forest, when the University will honor former quarterback Donovan McNabb with the retirement of his jersey.
