Orange, Raiders Meet in Saturday Matinee

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Central New York foes collide on the hardwood when Syracuse takes on Colgate on Saturday, Nov. 16. Tipoff at the Carrier Dome is set for 4:30 p.m. The No. 9/7 Orange is going for its third consecutive win to start the season, while the Raiders lost its season opener.
Tickets for Tuesday's game are available online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) or in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). The game will be broadcast on the ACC Regional Network.

What to Watch For – Syracuse
1. Sophomores DaJuan Coleman and Jerami Grant each recorded double-doubles against Fordham. It was Coleman's second career double-double and the first for Grant. Coleman scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Grant finished with career highs in points (16) and rebounds (10).
2. Freshman Tyler Ennis was 4-for-8 from the field and 8-for-10 from the free throw line for a season-high 16 points against Fordham. Ennis also had five assists and four steals against the Rams. He is tied for second in the ACC in assists, averaging 6.0 per game.
3. The Orange's bench has played a role in both of its victories this season. Syracuse's bench contributed 21 points in its 89-74 victory against Cornell. Against Fordham, SU's bench outscored the Rams' extras, 30-7.
What to Watch For – Colgate
1. Colgate will face its second consecutive opponent from the ACC. The Raiders opened the season with an 89-78 loss to Wake Forest.
2. The Orange zone will have to be ready to defend against the three-point shot. Colgate attempted 34 shots from behind the arc against Wake Forest, while taking just 28 two-point shots. The Raiders hit 41.2 percent of its three-point attempts against the Demon Deacons (14-for-34).
3. Matt Langel is in his third season at the helm of the Colgate program. Previously, Langel served as an assist coach at Temple for five seasons.
THE SERIES
Syracuse and Colgate will meet for the 165th time on Saturday. The Orange owns a 120-45 advantage in the all-time series. Syracuse has won the last 47 meetings between the two schools, with the Raiders' last victory coming in 1962.
