2013 Athlon All-ACC Team
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Macky MacPherson earned his third all-conference honor on Thursday, Dec. 12 by being named to the Athlon Sports All-ACC Second Team. Earlier this month, MacPherson received second-team all-league  honors from the ACC's coaches and media.
MacPherson started 37 straight games for the Orange dating back to his sophomore season of 2011. He anchors an offensive line that has paved the way for the ACC's fourth-ranked rushing attack (193.8 yards per game). SU's front five has also allowed 17 sacks (1.4 per game), the fourth-fewest in the conference.
The 6-2, 290-pound MacPherson, was a candidate for the Rimington Trophy, presented to college football's top center.
MacPherson concludes his collegiate career on Friday, Dec. 27 in the Texas Bowl against Minnesota. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. at Reliant Stadium in Houston.
