SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- No. 2/2 Syracuse renews its rivalry with No. 8/11 Villanova on Saturday, Dec. 28. Tip off is set for 2 p.m. Both squads enter the game with 11-0 records.
Tickets for Saturday's game are available online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) or in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). The game will be broadcast on CBS.

What to Watch For – Syracuse
1. After having a week between games, Syracuse begins a stretch where it will play four games in 11 days. Saturday's game is the first of three straight home contests, which concludes with SU's inaugural ACC contest against Miami. Syracuse then goes on the road for the first time in conference play to face Virginia Tech.
2. Sophomore Trevor Cooney was 5-for-6 from three-point range against High Point. It marked the sixth time this season that Cooney has hit at least five shots from behind the arc. He has connected on 36 three-point attempts this season after hitting just 18 in 2012-13.
3. Syracuse has featured a balanced scoring attack this season as four different players are averaging double figures in scoring. Senior C.J. Fair leads the way, averaging 17.8 points per game. Sophomores Trevor Cooney and Jerami Grant and freshman Tyler Ennis are also contributing more than 10 points per game.
What to Watch For – Villanova
1. Saturday's game is the Wildcats' second true road game of the season. Villanova won at St. Joe's, 98-68, on Dec. 7. The Wildcats defeated USC, Kansas and Iowa to claim the Battle 4 Atlantis Championship in November.
2. Villanova has three players averaging double digits in scoring this season. Redshirt junior JayVaughn Pinkston leads the way, averaging 16.5 points per game. The trio also includes senior James Bell (15.4 ppg.) and junior Darrun Hilliard (14.4 ppg.).
3. Jay Wright is in his 13th season at the helm of the Villanova program. He has guided the Wildcats to a record of 268-144, four trips to the NCAA Sweet 16, two visits to the NCAA Elite Eight and a berth in the 2009 Final Four.
SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Villanova, 38-32. Last season the Wildcats defeated the Orange, 75-71, snapping SU's three-game winning streak in the series.
