Following a 2-0 week, the Syracuse men's basketball team moved up two more spots in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Poll to second and third, respectively.
The Orange (9-0) received two first place votes and sits behind only Arizona in the Associated Press rankings. Ohio State, Wisconsin and former-No. 1 Michigan State round out the top five. The Wildcats took 30-of-32 first place votes in the Coaches Poll with No. 2 Ohio State (749 points) and SU (746) each grabbing one.
Syracuse's No. 2 ranking in the Associated Press top-25 is the Orange's highest spot since being ranked second on March 12, 2012 entering the 2011-12 NCAA Tournament.
SU travels to St. John's as the former BIG-EAST foes meet at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 12 p.m.
