SYRACUSE, N.Y. -Â Syracuse women's basketball will compete in the Ezybonds Global Payments U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam on Nov. 28-30 in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The Orange will play against Texas, Memphis and Texas A&M in its three games.

The Paradise Jam features eight teams in its women's tournament field, divided into two divisions. Syracuse is in the Reef Division with the Longhorns, Tigers and Aggies, while Central Michigan, Duke, Kansas and Xavier will play each other in the Island Division. All games will be played at the University of the Virgin Island's Sports and Fitness Center.

Head coach Quentin Hillsman's squad will open play on Thanksgiving, Thursday Nov. 28, vs. Texas at 8:15 p.m. ET. The Orange and Memphis will meet on Friday, Nov. 29 at 8:15 p.m. and SU concludes play on Saturday, Nov. 30 vs. Texas A&M at 8:15 p.m. ET.

The Orange is coming off an impressive 2012-13 campaign in which it went 24-8 overall with an 11-5 record in its final BIG EAST season, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008 and fifth time in program history. The Orange makes the move to the ACC in 2013-14.

Texas is coming off a season 12-18 season in which it went 5-13 in the Big 12 in head coach Karen Aston's first season in Austin. Memphis went 17-15 in 2012-13, including an 8-8 mark in Conference USA, under fifth-year head coach Melissa McFerrin. Texas A&M went 25-10 with an 11-5 SEC record last season. The Aggies, the 2011 National Champions, won the SEC championship their first year in the league in 2012-13 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament under head coach Gary Blair.

The Orange has been no stranger to early-season tournaments in exotic locales in recent years. Last season, SU competed at the San Juan Shootout in Puerto Rico, and before 2011's trip to the Hukilau Invitational in Hawai'i, the team played in the Cancun Thanksgiving Classic in Cancun, Mexico in 2009 and the Bahamas Sunsplash Shootout in 2010.
