Nike/Inside Lacrosse Top 20 Poll | USILA Poll

BALTIMORE – Syracuse is ranked No. 2 in both national lacrosse polls this week. The Orange trails No. 1 North Carolina in the most recent editions of the Nike/Inside Lacrosse Top 20 Poll and USILA Coaches' Poll, released Monday, May 6. It's the Orange's highest ranking since May 9, 2011 when Syracuse was No. 1 in both polls.

The Orange garnered 366 points and received six first-place votes in the media rankings after defeating Notre Dame and Villanova last week to win the 2013 BIG EAST Championship. Ohio State, Maryland and Denver round out the top five in the media poll.

In the coaches' rankings, North Carolina and Syracuse are followed by Ohio State, Duke and Maryland.

The Orange received the top seed in the upcoming 2013 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship. Syracuse hosts Bryant in the first round on Sunday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
