Reyes' five scores set a Carrier Dome record for TDs and points in a game. It also made him the SU single-season and career leader in rushing touchdowns. R.J. Anderson was 17-of-27 for 209 yards, while Johnnie Morant caught six passes for 103 yards in front of 48,170 at the Dome.
LATE WIN IN ENEMY TERRITORY
Syracuse picked up its first victory at Notre Dame Stadium on Nov. 22, 2008 when the Orange defeated the Irish, 24-23. Cameron Dantley hit Donte Davis with the game-winning 11-yard touchdown pass with 42 seconds left and SU held off a final play field goal attempt to get the win. Arthur Jones gave the Notre Dame offense fits all day, piling up 15 tackles, four for losses and 1.5 sacks. Antwon Bailey rushed for 126 yards on 16 carries with a score as SU evened the all-time series with Notre Dame at 3-3.

YANKEE STADIUM WIN
Syracuse recorded its first football win vs. Notre Dame on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 1963 - just six days after President Kennedy was assassinated. In front of 56,972 at Yankee Stadium, SU defeated the Irish, 14-7, thanks to a fourth-quarter touchdown by Mike Koski on a 35-yard pass from Rich King with 3:28 left. SU was down 7-6 before the score and unsuing two-point converstion. "You got to give the kids a lot of credit," head coach Ben Schwartzwalder said after the game. "It's tough to come back in the last four or five monutes of a ballgame. That was a great call by King. They were crowding us, so we had to go to the air."

During Syracuse's NCAA Championship season, the #17/18 Orange earned a last minute victory against #10/9 Notre Dame on February 15, 2003. Gerry McNamara drained a three-pointer with 20 seconds remaining to secure an 82-80 victory. A crowd of 32,116 was on hand to watch Carmelo Anthony produce 26 points and nine rebounds. Hakim Warrick had a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards. This was SU's second home win against a top-10 opponent this season.
CONTINUING THE STREAK
No. 9 Syracuse defeated the Fighting Irish 63-47, to continue their home winning streak. The Orange racked up their 36th consecutive win at home, the longest active win streak in Division I. C.J. Fair led the team with a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds). Jerami Grant tallied a career-high 14 points in the victory against his older brother, Jerian Grant, a standout guard for the Irish.
ON THE WATER
Over the last 13 years, Syracuse and Notre Dame have been the top two women's rowing programs in the BIG EAST. After SU won the first three conference titles (2001-03), the Fighting Irish have won the last 10 (2004-13) with the Orange making strong gains on them in the last two seasons. After finishing 8.3 second behind Notre Dame in the marquee event of rowing, the varsity eight, in 2011, SU reduced its gap to 2.4 seconds in 2012 and just under 1.8 seconds this season. The rivalry is sure to continue into the ACC, where they will be greeted by the likes of No. 5 Virginia and No. 18 Clemson.

FOUR OVERTIME WIN
During the 2010 BIG EAST Women's Lacrosse Tournament semifinals, SU finally defeated Notre Dame, 12-11, in a four-overtime thriller. The Orange was down with 12 seconds remaining in regulation, when senior Halley Quillinan sunk one in the back of the net to tie the score. In the fourth overtime, Christina Dove scored the game-winning goal, to send SU to the BIG EAST Championship game. With four goals against the 14th-ranked Fighting Irish, Quillinan became just the third player in school history to score 200 career goals. The Orange ended up losing the championship game, but the 2010 team went as far as the NCAA semifinals where it lost to eventual national champion Maryland, 14-5. The Orange women are on a four- game winning streak that they hope to continue in their move to the ACC.
FACEOFF IN THE DOME
Orange defeats No. 1 Notre Dame, 11-8. The Irish entered the Carrier Dome with a 10-0 record, but Syracuse prevailed in front of 14,571 fans to finish BIG EAST play 6-0 and win the 2011 BIG EAST Championship (there was no conference tournament). Stephen Keogh tallied four goals to lead the Syracuse offense. The victory was No. 58 for the 2011 Orange seniors as they became the winningest four-year class in school history.

Syracuse and Notre Dame did not play in softball in 2013, but the Orange took two out of three from the Irish the last time they played, on April 14-15, 2012. After losing the first game of the three-game set in South Bend, 4-3, Stacy Kuwik's complete-game 8-2 win in game two and Jenna Caira's complete-game eight-inning 3-2 win the following day gave SU the series win. In the rubber match, Veronica Grant homered in the seventh inning to send the game to extras, and Julie Wambold homered in the eighth to win it.
