Former Syracuse forward Wesley Johnson has signed a one-year, free-agent contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to espn.com writer and SU alumnus Dave McMenamin.
Johnson was the fourth overall pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2010 NBA Draft. After two seasons with the Timberwolves, he was traded to the Phoenix Suns. He averaged 8.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game with the Suns.
At Syacuse, he averaged 16.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game during the 2009-10 season.
