
“Bring On The Books” To Beat Clemson

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The United Way of Central New York's Success By 6 will host its 16th annual "Bring on the Books" book drive beginning with the Syracuse vs. Clemson men's basketball game on Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Carrier Dome.
SU Literacy Corps volunteers will help to collect new and gently used books and monetary donations at the Dome starting when the gates open until tipoff at 6 p.m.
The community-wide book collection, which runs through Friday, Feb. 21, aims to provide new and gently used children's books to local child care providers, after-school programs and other organizations in need as part of Success By 6's efforts to promote reading and literacy among Syracuse's youth.
The following community drop-off locations will also be collectiong books starting on Monday, Feb. 10:
Success By 6, an initiative of United Way of Central New York, brings together leaders of business, education, government, and the community to work on behalf of young children. Success By 6 promotes the concept that by age 6, all children in Onondaga County will attain the necessary mental, physical, social and emotional development to successfully embrace educational and social opportunities for growth and learning.
