WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- No. 2/2 Syracuse tries to tie the school record for most consecutive victories to start the season when it plays at Wake Forest on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Game time is set for 9 p.m. The Orange is looking to go 20-0 for the second time in school history.

What to Watch For – Syracuse (19-0, 6-0)
1. Syracuse is one of only three undefeated teams in Division I. The other two are Arizona and Wichita State. The Shockers take on Loyola (Ill.) on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 8 p.m.
2. With its victory against Miami last Saturday, the Orange tied the school's second-best start. The 1999-2000 squad also began the year with a 19-0 record. Only the 2011-12 Orange had a better start when it won its first 20 games of the season.
3. Syracuse went 8-for-8 from the free throw line in the final minute of play at Miami to nail down its 19th straight win. The Orange has been made its opponent pay for fouling in the last five minutes of regulation when SU has made 81-of-102 (.794) from the charity stripe. Syracuse has been especially accurate in the last minute of action when it has hit 45-of-55 (.818) of its attempts.
What to Watch For – Wake Forest (14-6, 4-3)
1. Wake Forest has won three of its last four contests to improve its record to 14-6 overall and 4-3 in ACC action.
2. Syracuse will face the top rebounder in the ACC in Wake Forest's Devin Thomas. He is pulling down 8.5 rebounds per game. Thomas is one of three Demon Deacons averaging double figures in scoring. Codi Miller-McIntyre leads the way (15.2 ppg.), followed by Thomas (11.5 ppg.) and Travis McKie (10.2 ppg.).
3. Jeff Bzdelik is in his fourth season at the helm of the Wake Forest program. Previously, Bzdelik served as the head coach for the University of Colorado and the NBA's Denver Nuggets.
THE SERIES
Wednesday's game marks only the second meeting between Syracuse and Wake Forest. The only other meeting took place in the championship game of the 2001 Preseason NIT in Madison Square Garden. The Orange defeated the Demon Deacons, 74-67, to claim its second Preseason NIT title.
