GAME OVERVIEW
• After two weeks on the road, Syracuse returns to the Carrier Dome to host North Carolina State on Saturday, Nov. 1.
• The game will be televised on RSN. Wes Durham (pxp), James Bates (analyst) and Jenn Hildreth (sidelines) have the call. Coincidentally, the Orange is 6-0 since joining the ACC when competing on the RSN airwaves.
• The Orange is 3-5 overall and 1-3 in the conference after losing a true road game for the first timme this year at Clemson on Oct. 25.
• North Carolina State is making its first trip to the Dome since 1997. The Wolfpack is 4-4 overall and still searching for its first ACC victory this season. The Pack opened the campaign with four consecutive non-conference wins, but has lost its last four – all to conference foes. NC State had a bye last weekend.

PICK YOUR POISON
• The Orange has a bevy of backs capable of putting up big numbers, which is evidenced by four different 100-yard rushers this season. Prince-Tyson Gulley (2), Terrel Hunt (1), Adonis Ameen Moore (1) and Devante McFarlane (1) all have topped the century mark at least once.
• It's just the second time in 35 years Syracuse has had that many different 100-yard rushers in the same season. The 1980 Orange was the last team to achieve the feat with Joe Morris, Dave Warner, Glenn Moore and Ken Mandeville all topping 100 yards at least once.
• Hunt tied the school single-game quarterback rushing record with 156 yards against Maryland on Sept. 20.
• Ameen-Moore posted his first career 100-yard rushing effort with 106 at Central Michigan on Sept. 13 and McFarlane joined the club with a career-best 114 yards at Wake Forest on Oct. 18.
• Syracuse is 3-1 in 2014 when boas?? ng a 100-yard rusher and 5-2 under that scenario in Scott Shafer's two years as head coach.

THE NC STATE SERIES
• The Wolfpack won the first six series meetings, including a 32-31 overtime victory in 1997 in its only previous trip to the Carrier Dome. The contest was the first OT game in school history (the NCAA instituted overtime time 1996).
• The first time NC State came to Central New York was in 1974. The Wolfpack emerged with a 28-22 decision, but RB Ken Kinsey set an SU series record with 144 yards rushing on 31 attempts.
• The Orange claimed its first win the series last season, beating the Wolfpack on the road, 24-10.

LAST TIME VS. NC STATE
• Syracuse recorded its inaugural ACC victory with a 24-10 triumph against NC State on Oct. 12 at Carter-Finley Stadium.
• The Orange rushed for a season-high 362 yards. Jerome Smith (140 yards) and Prince-Tyson Gulley (132 yards) each recorded 100-yard rushing games.
• With the score tied at 10-10 midway through the fourth quarter, Gulley scored on an 18-yard run to give SU a six-point lead. Terrel Hunt added an 8-yard TD run with less than three minutes left to put the game out of reach.
• The Orange defense did not allow a second-half touchdown, limiting the Wolfpack to three points
after halftime.
• Orange S Durell Eskridge had one of the best games of his career. Eskridge made a personal-best 13 tackles. He also picked off a pass in the second quarter.

A WIN AGAINST NC STATE WOULD …
• Be SU's 709th all-time victory, the 16th-most among FBS schools and second-most of any ACC program.
• Mark the Orange's second straight win versus NC State and its first home victory against the Pack.
• Extend the Wolfpack's losing streak to five games.
• Even Scott Shafer's career head coaching record at 11-11.
