SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse field hockey team will travel south to New Jersey for its next contest when it faces Princeton on Sunday afternoon. The game is slated to start at 1 p.m. in Princeton, N.J.

Syracuse will play three of its next four games on the road. The Orange will play the Tigers away before playing host to Louisville on Saturday, Oct. 11. SU will then take on Cornell and Wake Forest away from the friendly confines of J.S. Coyne Stadium.

Freshman back Annalena Ulbrich has been a constant threat for opposing defense on penalty corners. Ulbrich has converted all six of her goals on the year on penalty corners.

The Hannover, Germany native is the only freshman on the squad to have to start in every contest in 2014. She currently ranks second on the team in goals scored and third on the club in scoring with 15 points on the year.

The Syracuse field hockey team has appeared in the the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll for 70 consecutive weeks, dating back to the start of the 2008 campaign. In the most recent NFHCA
Poll, Syracuse is ranked No. 13 in the nation.

SU is one of six ACC teams currently ranked in the top 15 of the most recent coaches' poll. North Carolina is the top-ranked program in the country, Virginia ranks third, Duke is currently fourth, Boston College ranks eighth, and Louisville is currently 12th. Every program in the seven-team league appeared in the latest poll, as well.

Syracuse owns a 6-11 record against Princeton. The team has defeated Princeton in their last three meetings.

Last season, Syracuse shutout No. 6 Princeton, 4-0, at home on Sept. 22. Serra Degnan recorded two goals on the day, her first two tallies of her collegiate career. Leonie Geyer and Alyssa Manley also registered goals against the Tigers.
