Cuse sets program record with seventh tie of the season
The Syracuse hockey team played to its second-straight tie and program record seventh tie of the season on Saturday at Robert Morris.

The Orange (3-6-7, 2-1-3 CHA) jumped out on the Colonials early, scoring the game's first goal in the first period, however Robert Morris rallied for a goal in the second and the teams would play scoreless third and overtime periods for the second night in a row.

Julie Knerr found the back of the net first for the Orange just 3:02 into the game. It was the second 'Cuse goal in the first four minutes in as many games.

Knerr's goal came on a feed from junior forward Melissa Piacentini.

The lead wouldn't last though, as with 5:07 to play in the second period the Colonials took advantage of a Syracuse penalty and Mackenzie Johnston scored a power play goal.

The result would once again hold for over 30 minutes.

Syracuse owned a 35-21 shots advantage in the game.

Next, the Orange will continue its road swing, when it travels to Saint Louis, Missouri to take on Lindenwood for a pair.
