Coaches Vote Ennis To ACC All-Freshman Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Syracuse's Tyler Ennis joined four other first-year players from five separate Atlantic Coast Conference institutions to comprise the Coaches All-ACC Freshmen Team announced on Monday.
The team was selected by the league's 15 head coaches. Voting took place during the final week of the ACC regular season and was based on regular-season performance.
Syracuse's Tyler Ennis, Duke's Jabari Parker, Virginia's London Perrantes, Virginia Tech's Devin Wilson and North Carolina's Kennedy Meeks were named to the 2014 squad.
Ennis, who was the only other unanimous selection on the team, led the ACC in assists (5.55) and steals (2.10) per game while starting all 31 contests for the Orange this season.
Duke's Parker, a unanimous selection to the All-Rookie Team, ranks second among ACC scorers at 19.2 point per game and tops the league in rebounding with nine rebounds per game.
Virginia's Perrantes emerged as a leader for the regular season ACC Champion Cavaliers, as he started 27 games, averaged 3.77 assists per game and converted on .481 percent of his 3-pointers. For the season, Meeks played in all 31 of North Carolina's games – starting 14 – and tied for 19th in the ACC in rebounding at 6.0 per game. Meeks averaged 7.4 points per game this season.
Wilson, of McKees Rocks, Pa., was an offensive catalyst for Virginia Tech, as he was third in the ACC in assists at 4.77 per game and registered 9.2 points per game.
