BUFFALO --Â Syracuse will try to advance to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament "Sweet 16" for the 19th time in school history when it faces Dayton in the third round on Saturday, March 22. Tipoff time in Buffalo is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. The third-seed Orange enters the game with a 28-4 record, while the Flyers, the South Region's 11th seed, are 24-10.

What to Watch For – Syracuse (28-5)
1. Syracuse advanced to the NCAA Tournament third round with a 77-53 win against Western Michigan in the second round. The Orange improved to 26-5 in the opening round of the tournament under the direction of head coach Jim Boeheim.
2. The Orange shot 49.1 percent (28-for-57) from the field against the Broncos for its highest shooting percentage since the Duke contest at the Dome on Feb. 1. Syracuse was 7-for-17 or 41.2 percent from three-point range in Thursday's game. The last time SU shot better than 40 percent from behind the three-point arc was against Pittsburgh on Feb. 12.
3. C.J. Fair was one of four players to reach double figures in scoring against Western Michigan with 14 points. In 12 NCAA Tournament games, he is averaging 11.5 points per game. Fair leads the Orange in scoring this season with a 16.6 points-per-game average.
What to Watch For – Dayton (24-10)
1. Dayton upset sixth seed Ohio State, 60-59, on Thursday to advance to the NCAA Tournament third round. The win improved the Flyers' record to 24-10. Dayton earned an at-large bid to the tournament after finishing sixth in the Atlantic 10 regular-season standings with a 10-4 league record.
2. Jordan Sibert leads a balanced scoring attack for the Flyers. He averages 12.4 points per game. Devin Oliver (12.0 ppg.) and Dyshawn Pierre (11.1 ppg.) also average more than 10 points per game. Both reached double figures against Ohio State. Oliver is Dayton's leading rebounder, pulling down 7.4 per game.
3. Archie Miller is in his third season at the helm of the Dayton program. He guided the Flyers to the NIT Tournament in his first season. Previously, Miller served as an assistant coach at Ohio State and Arizona.
THE SERIES
Syracuse and Dayton have split the two previous meetings. The squads haven't met since November 1977 when the Flyers defeated the Orange, 76-67, in UD Arena.
