GREENSBORO, N.C. - Thirteenth-seeded Clemson defeated 12th-seeded Virginia Tech, 69-56, to advance to face Syracuse on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament at the Greensboro Coliseum. The fifth-seeded Orange, which had a first-round bye, defeated the Tigers, 84-75, in their regular season meeting in the Carrier Dome on Jan. 23.
The winner of Thursday's game between the Orange and Tigers advances to face fourth-seeded NC State in the quarterfinals on Friday at 11 a.m.
Thursday's Syracuse-Clemson game will be televised live on the ACC Regional Sports Network. Locally, it will air on the YES Network. Check the RSN link for a full list of affiliates. The game can heard on the Orange's flagship, ESPN Radio 97.7/100.1 FM/1200 AM and at Cuse.com.
